Tax Deduction for Donating a Vehicle

As of January 1, 2005, you can claim a tax deduction of $500 without having to disclose the vehicle’s GSP. The GSP can be claimed as a tax deduction if the vehicle sells for more than $500 and you itemize your deductions. Within 30 days after the sale, NKFH will notify the customer of the tax deduction. NKFH is unable to guarantee any vehicle’s selling price. In some cases, it may take up to 60 days to sell your vehicle and receive your tax deduction notification.
